Day 4

Thanks for hanging in there with me bloggers--sorry for my delay in updates. Day 4 of New November just happened to be my birthday and what a wonderful day it was! I started the day off early to get my tire fixed, but that meant I got to add an extra hour to my birthday as well as see the sunrise! I went to class for a couple hours and then began the trek to my new adventure of the day--Anita, IA--"A Whale of a Town"! I met my awesome boyfriend there as it was halfway between where we live. And you would not believe what an amazing gift he gave me--a silver cross with 5 diamonds!! Hands down, the best gift I have ever received. I am so lucky! We proceeded to get a Casey's breakfast pizza and have a picnic at Lake Anita State Park. It was such a gorgeous day. We explored the park for most of the afternoon, just chatting and taking in the breathtaking sites of the park. The leaves were changing colors, the lake glistened in the sun, and I had the "Best All Around Guy" right beside me--it was so great :) It was sad to part ways, but more fun awaited that night. 

My wonderful friends from school had a dinner party for me that night--complete with napkin wrapped silverware, two glasses (one for wine and one for water), candles, a happy birthday sign, balloons, and a birthday princess pin. They brought a cookie cake for dessert and proceeded to go around the table and say super nice things about me and our friendship. Supper was so delicious and was followed by an extremely intense game of "Bite the Bag." My brother and some other friends came later and we walked over to our favorite local pub to continue the celebration. I am so blessed to have such amazing people in my life!
